Why do you charge an ESF Fee on ALL Card Transactions? In order to keep our rental prices lower than anyone else in the industry - For the quality of the product you are getting in our Movie-Quality Costuming - We have to defer some of our business costs. As we do not charge a fee for having a Personal Costumer assist you, or a Personal Pull-Fee for your show, we have elected to charge a small service fee for using debit and credit cards. We hope this answers your question about the Electronic Service Fee. And please remember, we do not accept personal checks, BUT, we take cash, money orders, business and cashier checks, and purchase orders. Please call us if you have any other questions! Thanks :)

Do you buy costumes/Clothing?Rarely. What we do readily offer is in store credit on rentals if it is something the owners want. The best way to get an answer if we would like to buy something is to take a picture of the costume or piece, email us at TheCostumeHouse@att.net, and put "Hi Kriste, Trying to Sell Costume" in the subject. We will get back to you at our earliest convenience and wil let you know if you should bring it in for the owners to look at or if you should try selling it somewhere else.

Why do I need to pay a deposit on my rental?Just like when you lease an apartment, a car, or something that you borrow, we, too, take a damage deposit (just in case the costumes come back damaged or missing). If you are a private client/ general public, or someone that is renting something like a costume for a party, your deposit starts at 2 times the rental rate. If you are a production, we expect the deductable amount of your insurance providers claim for the deposit rate. Deposits are refeundable once the check-in/ rental return has occured, and can take around 3 to 5 business dayso be refunded by The Costume House, LLC. Refunds do not get credited back on your card, BUT, come in the form of a check, which will be mailed to you in the post. Please note that your credit lender may also have an established time frame for credit returns to your account.
