Ret Turner is the oldest living and working costume designer in Hollywood. He is perhaps best known to some for his two-decade-long association with NBC that began in the mid-1950s. He worked on The Spike Jones Show and The (Tennessee Ernie) Ford Show and The Andy Williams Show (where he was a costume designer). Mr. Turner designed for most of the variety series and specials over several decades; two of his most famous being Donny and Marie and The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour. He has worked with a myriad of stars, including Lucille Ball, Carol Burnett, Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond, Shirley Booth, Jean Stapleton, and scores of others. He worked as a costume designer on The Carol Burnett Show, Mama's Family, Make Your Own Kind of Music, the pilot of Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In, and numerous musical specials. He still designs for Hollywood friends and various loyal customers from over the years.
